Constitution Place will come alive in March for the Tasting Notes food festival in and around Lyric Lane. This month-long program of events celebrates the people, produce and place that makes dining in the capital such a memorable experience.

Constitution Place has quickly become the destination for foodies looking to discover what’s new on the menu and this month will have you asking ‘how did I fit so much amazing food and drink into one month?’

Tasting Notes gives you the opportunity to treat yourself to indulgent dinners with friends, boutique beverages served alongside eclectic local art and mystery menus served from the hands of world-class chefs right in the heart of Canberra.

Unveil The Mystery: meet the chef robatayaki dinner at Mu Omakase - SOLD OUT

Set your tastebuds ablaze with this exquisite Japanese barbeque-style (robatayaki) set menu at the hands of executive chef Chuck Yu. Savour 13 incredible courses plus one additional mystery dish presented with an in-depth explanation of the cooking method and choice of ingredients in this intimate meet the chef experience. Add on the chef’s selection of 6 characteristic sake to accentuate your dining experience.

Guests will receive a take-home memento to remember this not-to-be-missed event.

About the chef: Chuck Yu began his culinary journey in Lilo Tang, the first modern Japanese restaurant in Canberra and quickly rose to take the helm at Mu Omakase in April 2022 leading the team to win a chef’s hat soon after. Yu demonstrates his ability to incorporate non-Japanese flavours into traditional Japanese dishes with creations such as Chawanmushi with scampi & morel, Kamo Nanban in lapseng tea, and Saikyo-yaki Patagonian toothfish with Davidson plum.

An advocate of simplicity and freshness thanks to his Cantonese heritage, Chuck plays with fire and champions many unheard-of ingredients on a daily basis. He’s also obsessed with G&Ts!

      f you have yet to make the trip down to Such & Such and sampled the mouth-watering and delightfully surprising seasonal menu, then now is the time!

      For the month of March, anyone booked on the Such and Such Set Menu will receive a complimentary glass of sparkling (or a wonderful non-alcoholic drink creation) on arrival.

        Arc café comes alive at 5 pm on Thursday 23 March for one hour only during WINE HOUR, featuring a good-to-the-last-drop line up of five wines from Mada Wines. Enjoy tastings of your favourite pours over a generous spread of canapes provided by Arc. Why not buy a glass or share a bottle with friends?
