Best Mixed Use Development and Best Workplace Project Award Winners
Constitution Place has been recognised as Australia’s best mixed use development and the best workplace project at Australia’s most prestigious property awards night, the Property Council of Australia/Rider Levett Bucknall Innovation and Excellence Awards.
Property Council ACT Acting Executive Director Adele Lausberg said the environmentally friendly, mixed use development created a city-changing destination in the heart of the Canberra CBD.
“The destination has helped change the face of the Canberra CBD,” she said.
“Capital Property has created a sophisticated mixed-use precinct which provides not only an exceptional place to work, but a great space to meet for coffee or a meal.”
Lyric Lane is a unique retail laneway that connects the two buildings in the development, which comprises of the ACT Government Headquarters (220 London Circuit) and a mixed-use office and hotel complex (1 Constitution Avenue) has created a high-quality dining and retail experience.
Some of Australia’s biggest professional services companies are based in Constitution Place, which also houses the 130-room, 4.5-star A By Adina hotel and other notable tenants including King & Wood Mallesons, E & P Financial Group, MinterEllison, and Victory Offices. The property has enough for up to 3,000 workers when it is fully occupied.
One of the first WELL-rated structures in Canberra, the development received a 5-star NABERS energy rating when it finished in December 2020. It also has a little under 300kw of roof-mounted solar power.
