Vernon at Constitution Place enters final stages of construction

30 September 2026

Vernon at Constitution Place has moved into the final stages of construction, with the tower crane removed, the building envelope substantially complete and work now focused on testing, commissioning and handover preparation.

The seven-level, 15,000 sqm building is the final stage of the Constitution Place precinct, developed by Capital Property Group at the corner of Vernon Circle and Constitution Avenue. Tenants are scheduled to begin occupying the building from November 2026.

A major milestone

August marked a significant moment for the project, with the tower crane removed from site. Infill works then got underway throughout the building.

The majority of the façade is now installed. Scaffolding has been retained only in isolated zones to allow finishing works and quality assurance inspections, and the remaining façade and external architectural finishes are advancing as Vernon takes on its final form.

Inside the building

Throughout the quarter, the focus shifted to preparing tenancies for occupancy. Strong progress has been made on lobbies, ceilings, partitions and building services across the warm shell, cold shell and integrated fit-out areas.

Building services, fire systems, mechanical systems and lifts are now progressing through final testing and commissioning, and occupancy approval activities are underway.

The building's arrival and amenity spaces are also coming together. Installation of the feature chandeliers in the main lobby has begun. Bathrooms, end-of-trip facilities and bike storage are nearing completion, with tiling, stone vanities, joinery, toilet partitions, lockers and final fixtures largely installed.

Around the precinct

Outside the building, sewer, stormwater and water supply connections advanced through July and August. Services rough-in and soffit cladding installation commenced under the colonnade.

Attention has now turned to external works and the public realm surrounding Vernon. This includes final utility connections, landscaping, road and footpath reinstatement, and make-good works across the precinct. As these works finish, affected public areas will be progressively restored and returned to the community.

What's next?

Over the coming weeks, works will focus on final commissioning, quality assurance inspections, defect rectification and preparation for practical completion. Construction activity and associated disruption around the site are expected to progressively reduce.

As these final activities progress, Vernon will increasingly reflect the premium workplace experience that will soon welcome its tenants.
